In a Reality TV First, Viewers Can Date Contestants on Social Dating Site Jazzed

Santa Monica, Calif. — September 12, 2011 — "Excused," the new syndicated dating show from CBS Television Distribution, premieres September 12, 2011, with a groundbreaking integrated partnership with Jazzed (www.jazzed.com), a social dating service where singles can share, meet and connect with interesting and like-minded people. For the first time in reality television history, contestants and viewers will have the opportunity to meet in the real world.

"Excused" contestants are given a free one-year membership to Jazzed and can create real profiles for themselves on the service. Viewers can easily search for and connect with available "Excused" contestants after setting up their own profiles at www.jazzed.com/excused.

The partnership between "Excused" and Jazzed includes a unique revenue-share component, incentivizing both parties to maximize "Excused" viewership and build the Jazzed community.

The partnership includes offline and online integrations. In each "Excused" episode, contestants reveal information about themselves to their potential dates through their Jazzed profiles. Near the finale of each show, host Iliza Schlesinger reminds viewers they can sign up for Jazzed and check out their favorite "Excused" contestants by signing up online or by downloading the Jazzed mobile app.

A co-branded "Excused" video player and a Facebook game application called "Who'd You Excuse?" are being distributed to over 200 TV affiliate station Facebook pages. In addition, Jazzed and CBS will be promoting "Excused" extensively across multiple media platforms.

"Excused" is produced by Renegade 83, the producers of the long-running hit series "Blind Date." Host, Iliza Shlesinger, is the first female and youngest winner of "Last Comic Standing." "Excused" offers a fresh take on the dating scene, mining the comedy that traditionally comes with relationships.
